Makayla as a guest blogger

Hello it is me Makayla here blogging on Miss Tricia's Blog.
I was getting ready to fall down in this picture. I was iceskating on Tuesday December 30th, 2008.

MY NEW CAMERA

Faith did the sweetest thing with her Christmas money. Aunt Lisa and Uncle Grattin sent some Christmas money so Faith took her girlfriend to the iceskating rink to go ice skating. I took these pictures and about 300 more with my new camera that I love.

I just purchased a Nikon D90 which is an SLR camera. I finally bit the bullet and broke down and got THE most amazing camera EVER!!!!!!! For the 12,000 pictures I have already taken I thank my previous camera but for the 100,000 more I am going to take THANK YOU NEW CAMERA:) If the amount of pictures I took with the girls yesterday ice skating (300) I will fill up my new hard-drive in a matter of minutes:) I am so EXCITED!!!!!!!!! Watch out Tammy I am coming your way soon and begging to take pictures of the cats.... I have about 50 of mine with the new camera and about 100 of the dogs.. Like this awesome one I took of Jackie.

Faith and Santa

Well here Faith is with Santa... Of course she told him two things she had to have for Christmas two days before Christmas that she never asked for.. Go figure..

By the way Dorothy and Toto are on their way to Kansas in March. Our first trip home in 5 years. I will post those pics while we are there..

I finally did a Scrapbook Page!!!!

I finally did the first scrapbook page since early October. My goal was to have 2003 finished by January. That is so not going to happen. I have over 500 pictures to choose from. But I did finish a two page layout. Yeah~!!!!! I used the new packing tape technique on some of the stars. I also used my new slice to do the letters.

I love my new SLICE so much!!!! I love that the letters are thicker than myCricut. I also used the two sizes of Stampin Up star punchs as well as the "Swirls" roller. In addition to the punches i used the Washington Apple paper, So Saffron, and the new Blue. Can't remember the name right off of the top of my head. I will hopefully have more samples this week because I don't go back to work until January 5th and my goal is to finish a lot of Stampin Up!!!!!

Enjoying Christmas Yummies

Here is a picture of us girls Christmas day over at Angies enjoying some of the wonderful yummies. Merry Christmas all and Happy New Year!!!!

My thank you cards

What up it is me Faith. These are my thank you cards I did with my Mom. How do i make it, well it is kind of easy you use the negative of the Sizzix snowflake it is pretty, then you need a card and some packing tape you put the tape on the back of the negative, then you need glitter blue or wight it does not matter, then you sprinkle glitter on the negative until the the tape on the negative is full, then take your adhesive and put it on the front of the card and stick the negative on the card know you have most of the card done then you stamp thank you on it then you have my thank you card.

New outfit

Hey it is me Faith again i got a new outfitwell the socks and the shirt are
new I put the rest together. The sweater is part of my Christmas outfit.

Hey it is me Faith. I am blogging for my first time. I am so happy.
OK we went to this dudes house yesterday night. OK every year this dude puts up a bunch of lights. This year he got more, like a monkey on a swing it's funny. And he probably has over 50 blowup things. And if you have seen deck the halls there is more lights than Buddy.

Thank you cards

Here is my last blog entry for tonight. I decided to make a Thank You card and have it all ready for Christmas day so that we could write the thank-you notes and they would go out the day after Christmas. This is the front and I blew up the back this is actually about a 2x1" stamp. I had so much fun doing this card. Merry Christmas if I don't get a chance to blog again.

Technique Theme Swap Card

Every month my upline has a swap with our stamp group. This month's(January) theme was technique. Wow I never imagined that it would be so hard to think up a card. I scored www.splitcoaststampers.com looking for ideas and couldn't find anything. Then I remembered last Sunday standing in Heather's kitchen talking to her mother-in-law about Stampin Up! and listening to her describe a technique. I was mostly just politely listening to her because what she was saying made on sense to me. But at 4:30 this morning (the time my brain decided was time to get up) HAD to find the technique for the swap. I recalled the conversation and went to splitcoast and thanks to Beate found this tutorial http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/glitter_window/

So this was my variation on the tutorial. I actually loved it and plan to use it with the negative of the snowflake I will blog next.

A Love Affair to Remember

This is our youngest cat Dude. His real name is Gingerbread. (I have a Christmas theme for my animals but my husband refused to call this one anything but dude) I guess this just sums up my love for my husband. How can you not love a man who will take pictures of his kitten sleeping, watch It's a Wonderful Life for the millionth time and still cry, and one who still tucks his nine year old daughter into bed every night.

Tags for presents

Good Evening! I need to go to bed but wanted to post some of the tags I made tonight. I really like the Santa one with the ball. I wish you could see these better because then you could see my glitter.:)
I have a confession to say out loud. I have an obsession with glitter. My friend Brenda gave me a ton of Martha Stewart Glitter for Christmas then I went out and bought 21 more bottles with glitter glue and all I can think of is how I am going out the day after Christmas to get more as soon as it goes on Clearance. I wonder if there is such a thing Glitter Anynomous????
I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope that God blesses you and your families for all of the New Year.

CHRISTMAS CARDS FINALLY FINISHED

I AM FINALLY DONE... It took me 8 hours to do 30 of these. AGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH. I even made the shrinky dink which I am really proud of because I did it 3-D by adding the words to the front and stamping the image on the back. I know some of you have heard me say it a hundred times about the 3-D but I think it is awesome. Can you tell it's the little things that make me happy?

I hope you have a great Sunday we are off to the grocery store. I should have more ornaments to share later.

Finally My Own Work

Last post for tonight I swear. We are attending a birthday party tommorow afternoon and here is the card and envelope I did. The bag is one of the cool light up and music playing bags. I got it at Target and if you know me you know I love Target.

Happy Birthday Owen. By the way it's my Mom's Birthday tomorrow too. Happy Birthday Mom!!!!!!

THE CHEESE STANDS ALONE

Dadda returned from Wisconsin a little bit ago and all we got was the CHEESE!!!!! Frankie thought it would be funny to bring Faith a Cheese Hat from the Tractor Shed.

My two babies are funny critters...

Tammy is the greatest upline ever!!!!!!

I went to Tammy (the greatest upline ever's) Stamp camp today and here are three of the projects that we made. I loved loved loved the gift bag and I also loved the scrapbook page as well (not shown here). All the projects were awesome. We had a really good time.
It was a nice way to get into the Christmas spirit. I am hoping to have one more post tonight of my own work but we will see. My husband is on his way home with dinner and I am not sure if I will be in a food coma or not later.

What happens when cameras happen to naughty boys.

So here is what happens when I am trying to take pictures of my friend Brenda's artwork. I love how her ornaments turned out. They are super cute. I have to say that the shrinky dink tag was my idea but her execution was flawless as usual and you know I had to bring home some of her stamp sets.
Anyway, her son Aiden comes bounding in the room and wants to have a photo shoot so this is him being silly.
