Darn Nichole

So I can't tell you why just yet but I will be able to tell you in the future why I have pictures of a cake. I actually made this cake completely from scratch. I made the cake inside and the fondant as well as the buttercream frosting. I even did the two shade of color on the leaves and hand pressed them all.

Nichole and I are doing a project together and I had to try some things for myself this weekend and since this was a "throwaway" cake I didn't want to spend a ton of money. It inspired me to make the fondant from scratch. This is a Cinnamon Vanilla Cake with a special buttercream frosting that I made covered in fodant. This was my first time with fondant. I am so excited/ What do you think?

Going to the Scrapbook Store

I am so excited I am headed to the scrapbook store today totally prepared. I will have my pictures in hand and I am all set with a little bit of cash and a little bit of time. I can't wait to come home and create as well... Stay tuned..... See what happens at the store.

Frankie is going to a Gun show today so we are going birthday shopping. My hubby is turning the big 44 March 2nd. Notice I put this statement after the one about going to the scrapbook store:)

Box for Stamp Club

Here is the box that I did for my Stamp Club. I had left over supplies from the Valentines box I made so I used them and turned it into an Easter box. I used flocking on the chickie so he is nice and soft.

We just got back from Angie's in Virginia. As you all know I have this horrible scrapbook/stamp/cardmaking/GLITTER obsession. This being said I ALWAYS stop at scrapdoodles. (http://www.scrapdoodles.com/) on my way home from her house. Today was no exception. I was wandering around trying not to spend thousands of dollars so I had one particular set of pictures in mind and was looking diligently around for something to complete my latest idea when I stumbled onto this revolutionary product. It is a ribbon holder that is about 3x3 and holds your ribbon flat. I will take before and after pictures later to show you how great this product is. In the package you get 10 for $1.99. OMGosh.......... Love it Love it Love it.
