I am published

Merry Christmas everyone. I know it has been a million years since I have posted. My New Year's resolution is to keep up with my blog. I have quite a few new goals for next year and different types of projects I am going to try and complete using different mediums.

I do have some exciting news to share. I have been published for a paper wreath that I created. I am also thinking of entering the contest for April's issue.. I will post more on that later.

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and until the New Year Year! Travel safely.

Talk of the town.

For Faiths fund raiser Ms. Shannon ordered caramel corn and caramels. Here is her stash in all its glory. This was for her sons ball team. Everyone participated and we had a good time.

Birthday Card

I did this card for my friends birthday. This stamp set is My mishikas. Colors are Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, and Old Olive. I discovered that if I emboss my Images that require coloring I get better color results. When I finished the card I realized that the two major colors were michigan colors. Which is her favorite team. How funny! Sentimental inside is from curly cute.

Copics Markers

I went to a Copics Marker class with Tammy today and loved it. Ended up spending way too much money on markers. I don't have too much guilt however because it was money I earned from a consignment sale. Here was my first attempt. I was looking for a good image to practice with and I love this stamp set so what do you do? Cheryl the instructor is amazing!

The pumpkin is my favorite part of this one. I am going to have to look for more fall stamps to use. I think leaves would be good. I am off to watch some Youtube Demos.

Shoebox swap.

I am going to Calvert County to hang with my Stampin' girls and we are doing a shoe box swap. What is a shoe box swap? It is where you prepare a box ok supplies to make a project and everyone works on it. This was my sample. Thanks babe for helping me come up with the idea.

Debbie's new Grandson

I am so excited I finished a dual project today. I know that I am supposed to use current Stampin Up product but as soon as Debbie told me the sex of the baby and showed me some of the things Kim was thinking of using in the babies room I knew immediately what I was going to do. This is retired paper Jersey Shore. The Sizzix dies I used where the two tags and the Top Note. Then as you all know I am a lover of My digital Studio where I created both the Dog and the saying. I had so much fun with this one. I hope that Debbie and Kim like the blanket. I crocheted the blanket using the Granny Square technique. I have decided that I am going to start using the Stampin Up color combinations in making my blankets. It will make things so much easier. I will be able to do the total package Stampin Up style. The Jar is from Walmart and is what I will start using instead of the paint cans as it uses way less paper and ribbon and is easier to open and close and well I just loved it! I will keep you updated on what they thought:)

My Shoebox Swap

Ok so Tammy and I are going to an Event in Calvert County on Saturday and here is what I made for my shoebox swap.

This is a hybrid card. I used My Digital Studio and the stamp set Open Seas and the paper printed out all the layers you see here except the card background. The card background was in done in Not Quite Navy using Old World background stamp. The Red was done in Cherry Cobbler and the farthest layer was done in crumb cake. Crumb cake was also used to "antique" the ship using a blender pen and then the water and edging is in Not Quite Navy. I had fun doing it and am looking forward to Saturday.

Easter Cupcakes

We had the best Easter morning making Chocolate salted caramel cupcakes. These cupcakes are so decedant and teeny tiny so the calories are a lot less than normal cupcakes. Yummy.

Baby Zimmerman

Good Morning.... Last night I wormed on baby Zimmermans gift. I got the idea from a website. I used the Sizzix scallop circle, clear circle, and star punch. The paper is from this catalogs Christmas scrapbook pack. The star buttons are always fun to make. A little shrinky dink paper, wild about you stamp set, for baby stamp set, and some Stazs on voila you have a cute banner. Let me know what you think.

Molasses Crinkles

As some of you know my Grandmother passed away in the latter part of last year. One of the most treasured things I inherited from her was her recipes. One of the many things that I loved about my grandmother Elizabeth was her cooking. So in rememberance of her I am scanning in the photographs of her recipe cards to put together a cookbook for my brother, my daughter, my mom, and our kids.
Who likes a cookbook without pictures. Here are the picture of Faith making Great Mommy's Molasses Crinkles. I had to work that day so my lovely husband and daughter decided to hook me up with a photo shoot. My brother and niece are going to be adding pictures as well I am excited I think that it will be awesome when it is all done:)
