Tammy's Inspiration

I ripped off Tammy's idea with her Skull but made a Christmas Card one instead. I loved being able to use the flower idea that we saw at Convention. With Tammy's prodding I did quite a bit of crafting this weekend and this was one that I did.

This is the Stamp that Tammy gave me. There is a clear embossing coat over the top of it.

A hard day's work

Here are the pictures of my hard work today.....Sorry the last one is sideways... I am having so many troubles uploading tonight. One of the ladies at work asked me to make her a fall wreath after she saw the picture of the Halloween Wreath that I finished. This one took me about 5 hours however I was doing laundry and playing WII resort with Frankie while doing this.
I am going to go onto the webisite that I listed on the previous blog and see how much money it will cost me. :) Saw a super cute tree stamp set that I would like to have. Tell me what you think of the Wreath.

New Decor Elements have arrived

So I received my pre-order from the mini in the mail this week and this is a Level 1 hostess set for Decor Elements. I was so excited. I had the perfect place for these and that was the jars I had just waiting to be labeled.
If you have a party of 150.00 or more you can recieve these for your house too aren't they too cute??????

Thinking of you..

I was asked to do a thinking of you card for a co-worker to send so I made this card and the envelope.

So then I had this great idea how I am going to package cards that I will sell... I am going to have a speciality stamp made that says Created By: Triciasserendipity!!!! I will package them like this:

A family that stamps together stays together.

Here is the card that Frankie made with me for his Dad and Glenna for their birthday. If you can't guess it's our family... Frankie, myself, and Faith and an abbreviated version of our pets.... I love this stamp set..

Inspiration finally came in the form of a redone Christmas Wreath

Hello all!!!!!

So I have been back from convention for a week now. I have had all of these thoughts floating through my head but have just been too dog on tired from the trip last week to think straight. We had a good time. We enjoyed site seeing more this year. It was a load of fun. I will post pics on that later.

When we were at Convention we saw Carey Cudney demonstrate a Christmas Wreath using designer series paper and a styrafoam wreath.. (I know that has to be a spelling error!) I can email you a picture of her wreath if you would like it is in a PDF and I am not sure how to post it here. Anyway.....

Here is my Halloween take on her Christmas wreath. By the way no it's not designer series paper I didn't have the patience to wait for it to come so I (GASPING LOUDLY) used paper from K&Company.

Day 2 of Convention

Here it is day two of Convention already. We are resting back in the hotel room after a long day of Convention and then of site seeing.
Above are some of the samples of the things that were shown on stage today. We are having a good time I think. It is a little disappointing after last year's big hooray.... But we are making the most of it and truly I am inspired from some of the new things that I am seeing here. Of course I am going to come home and place a huge order after seeing all of the cool handmade crafts that I can make for everyone for Christmas. After my scrapbooking classes that I am holding at the college I am dedicating myself to handmade gifts this year especially after what we have seen today.
Tammy and I did some really cool site seeing today. We went to the Lion's house/Beehive house which is Brigham Young's house. The history here is so fascinating. I was raised in a break off from the Mormon's church. The church I attended was the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints which is now called the Community of Christ Church. There are some similarities to the Mormon belief system I find the differences fascinating. There are quite a few misconceptions that I have had about the Mormons growing up. This has truly been a neat experience and I am hoping to have more time to see Utah next year when I come out and learn more of the fascinating history. I am going to the bookstore when I get home too to read up on it.
Tonight Tammy and I tood a carraige ride around which was so much fun. It was neat to see the sites and to learn more about this fascinating place. I am hoping to come back for a full week next year.
My eyelids are getting heavy so I am off to bed. Oh by the way I learned today what Sleep tight don't let the bed bugs means or was originated from. Apparently in the olden days that had ropes they had to tighten on the beds and their mattresses were made from straw and if you didn't change out the straw every few days then it would have bugs.

Last blog for today of the scrapbook pages samples that I loved

Here are some of my favorite scrapbook page samples that were posted on the board.
All in all today was a good day. I love being here in Utah and getting inspired to create. Just wish I had all my stuff with me here I would have done some creating today but I am doing make and takes tomorrow so that will be a great outlet for this creativity flowing in me right now.
Yes Faith I am missing you but this is really good for mommy it gives me a chance to be Tricia for a few days and come back rejeuvinated and ready to be more creative and fun loving in all other areas of my life as well.
Have sweet dreams princess and everyone enjoy the pics.

Christmas samples from Convention

Here are some of the samples from Convention of my favorite Christmas items. I love the scrapbook page of the food. I can't wait to do some cooking so that I can do some of these pages. I am considering doing a book for my class I am teaching in September. I really want to do a Christmas book I may wait until my December class to do that one though. Are you loving the samples yet????

Some Samples from Convention

I absolutely loved these placemats that someone made. I can't wait to try it mmyself. The plates are beautiful too!!!! I believe that is a lotus blossom in the center as well.
This was in the sample case at Convention. I am definately going to get this tree cut out from Sizzix and do this in my Christmas cards so be on the lookout for it.. I thought that the Snowman thank you's were super cute as well. I have the birthday one and I need to have my daughter use it. I am hoping that we can sit and make these together for Christmas. I may send this to my friends as well.

Look closely at this wreath. It is ribbon. Is that the cutest thing?

Mormon Square

Sorry you are getting sideways pics on these :( I tried flipping them but here are a few pics of Mormon Temple.

We made it to convention can you believe it?????

So here we are at convention. We made it. This is the picture of the one thing that Tammy loved from her bag!!!!!! I loved a few more things from the bag that we received. There were two stamp sets that I was super excited about and one I was so-so on. Tammy is doing her make and takes as we speak and I can't wait to see them when she gets back.
This is a picture of all the women lined up to purchase at Momento Mall. For all you nay-sayers out there a lot of women do attend these crazy things.

These are a couple of pics of me and my girl Tammy at convention. There will be a couple of more posts today..... so hang on to your hats..
