Finally posting... Sorry!
I am so sorry that it has been so long since I have posted. I have been feverishly crocheting some Christmas Gifts. I would love to post them unfortuneately the people I have made them for also look at this blog from time to time!
However, now I have been inspired to pick up the stamp and ink and create. I went Friday night over to my big bosses house to work on luminaires. I am going to be teaching a class at the King George Civic Center in October and this is one of the projects we will be making along with an Autumn Wreath.
I would love to know what you think! I have more creating to do today so watch out. I have a 50th birthday card to make and work on some cancer cards to do as well. I am doing things a little out of order but what do you do? I have a September class that I am teaching and haven't worked on at all :( But I have it in my mind what I am doing for that one.. If you are interested in attending either session let me know and I will get you a registration form and the fee is $10.00.

Missing my best friend
As many of you know my best friend in Colorado is fighting a grueling battle with cancer. This is her second go round and I can't make heads or tails of it one way or the other if she is winning or losing. Her 38th birthday will be the 24th of this month so I made her this card.
The picture of the candle is a gift for her. She asked me before I went to Germany to bring her back an awesome gift. Well I looked around at all of the baubles and trinkets and couldn't find anything that would fit the bill it all seemed so meaningless and pointless. Then on the third day of our journey we went into this church and immediately I knew what had to be done. I realized that now was the time to have a "Come to Jesus" moment. You could feel the centuries of prayers that had been spoken in this awesome and ominous church. I kneeled and prayed that day for her to have a peaceful painfree easing into God's will for her.
Due to some circumstances going on around me later I feel the need to let her know that we love her so much and are sending out all the love and prayers we can..
Enough boo-hoo these are the gifts and cards that I am sending for her birthday. I used the stencil for the flower, the color combo is ruby red, more mustard, pumpkin pie, chocolate chip, and kiwi kiss. The stamp set that I used was the Vintage Vogue in the new clear stamps.

Gift for my BFF
I found this fabric in Florida and made myself a blanket. When I saw this fabric I knew who would fall in love with it and I was right.
As soon as I gave it to Brenda even the cats wanted a piece of this blanket. I had to look high and low for the fleece but found it and it was worth it for sure. I am really terrible about expressing my feelings to anyone but Faith but I think this got my point across!! :)
So I fell in love
I borrowed this stamp set (STAMPIN UP! By Air) to make a card for a baby shower I am attending next month. I fell in love with this set and am thinking of buying it even though I may never use it again :) I am hopelessly addicted.
Here are the supplies I used all Stampin UP! of course:
Only Orange Ink
Brilliant Blue Ink
YoYo Yellow Ink
Brillian Blue Paper
Whisper White Paper
Whisper White Envelope
Jersey Shore Designer Series Paper
By Air stamp set

Birthday Card for my Boss
Birthday Card for my Dad
I used my new Machine and made my Dad's birthday card and envelope. I really like my new machine it rocks... The difference between the new one and the other two I have is the detail work that this one can do. It seems to cut really great definition pieces. I also like the flexibility of having so many images.
I used three papers from Stampin Up!
Whisper White
Holiday Lounge Designer Series Paper
Bermuda Bay.

Thank you cards
This is the card that I did for my thank you cards. I used the Build a Brad and the Medallion Stamp from Stampin Up! I love this stamp. When I first saw in in the "New" catalog I loved it but thought what would I do with it? I am going to try and 4 more things with it. That's my New Year's resolution use all of my stamp sets on five projects.
